Happy Halloween!

Bad week and night.

I've had the flu all week and I'm feeling a little better now but I still cough pretty bad. And this night has been really awful. Martin and I were watching tv late last night in bed. And all of a sudden I got a really bad stomach ache. Don't know what it could have been. But it hurt so bad, I had to breath like when I was giving birth. I was shaking from pain and I even had to go and throw up because of the pain. Martin called the hospital and they said to wait for 30 minutes and if it didn't get better we should come in to the emergency room. Fun!! We even called a neighbor to stand by to give me a ride, because Isabel was sleeping and had a fever so Martin had to stay athome. But luckily the pain went away gradually. But my stomach was really sore all night.It was really frightening, I thought maybe it was the appendix or something. It hurt like I was giving birth again. But now I feel better and I hope it was a one time thing. If it happens again I have to go to the doctor. And then the rest of the night I spent coughing.... not so fun.

weekend

it's friday afternoon. the kids have a pizza in the oven and Martin and I are making hot sandwiches.
Isabel has had some bad luck today. First she feel down the stairs to the basement, but she didn't get badly hurt. Then 10 minutes later when she and Adam are in the basement playing with a car track with battery driven cars, Isabel starts screaming. She had put a car on her head and her hair got twisted up in the cars spinning wheel. so she had a car attached to her head, poor Isabel, but she looked sort of funny :-) (bad mum).
I was starting to cut her hair when Martin helped and got her loose without cutting it. Lucky I didn't have to cut her hair, it's not like she has a lot to begin with.....
No I have to go and make some sandwiches.


10 minutes later again- the car is stuck to her hair again...........

potty

Isabel still has diapers but she goes on the potty too. But she doesn't say if she needs to go yet. But this morning she was watching tv without a diaper and I put the potty on the floor so she could use it if she wanted. Usually when I do that she still doesn't get to it in time. Lucky we have a leather couch. But this morning she came walking to me in the kitchen with pee in the potty, joy! :-)
Still a long way to go of course.

strange day

.

I feel really strange today. Yesterday I had a strange headache that went away after a couple of hours. But then for the rest of the day I had to go to the bathroom once every 30 min. but it doesn't feel like a stomach flu. Maybe I've eaten something bad? Today I still feel funny in the stomach and I'm staying home from work, because I'm not sure what it is and it's no fun working when you have to go to the bathroom all the time. I'm also very sore in my arms and hans... don't know what that is. Maybe it's just from swimming a lot lately?? Well... the kids are at preschool and I'm home alone with the cats. Hopefully my stomach will improve during the day and I'll try and rest as much as I can, and drink lot's of tea :-)

What a nice birthday. kids sick with colds and I feel a cold coming down on me too. No birthdayparty tonight :-(

I'm in my reading zone right now, Today I finished reading Stephen King's The girl who loved Tom Gordon. I started reading it yesterday evening :-). It's not a long book, but I really liked it. The feeling in it is great. And I love Stephen King.
